The Cauca River carries the bodies of victims of the violence that bleeds the region. Juaco, an introverted fisherman born and raised there, has taken on the task of retrieving the dead to give them a dignified burial. Among the corpses that surface from the current, he holds onto the hope of finding Irene, his missing wife. Sanity begins to unravel: the routine of fishing for the dead becomes an unbearable burden, while the river entangles him in a fate from which he cannot escape.
